A sculptural Murano glass chandelier attributed to AV Mazzega, Italy, circa 1970s. This striking pendant features thick fused glass panels with an ice glass texture—crackled and frosted, catching the light beautifully.
Vivid cobalt blue swirls run through each panel, offering dramatic contrast against the clear glass.
The panels are arranged in a floral-inspired formation, creating a bold, sculptural silhouette. Each glass element is individually shaped, showcasing the artisanal skill and subtle variations that make every example unique.
This design is attributed to AV Mazzega, with the chandelier by Carlo Nason—whose work with Mazzega in the 1960s and 1970s brought a modernist edge to Murano glassmaking. Nason’s approach combined experimental forms with traditional techniques, and his designs remain highly regarded among collectors of 20th-century lighting.
