An early 20th century chandelier with a brass frame, scrolling arms and candle-style light fittings. The chandelier is dressed throughout with original antique faceted crystal drops, including the original faceted crystal ball finial at the base.
The central stem incorporates original clear glass elements, with ribbed glass sections running through the body. Each light sits in a clear glass bobeche and is further dressed with hanging crystal drops arranged beneath the arms.
Above the arms, the chandelier features a tall cascading “waterfall” crown formed from slender brass supports, each hung with individual faceted crystal drops. This upper cascade is typical of Italian chandelier designs from the period and gives the piece strong vertical emphasis.
A well-balanced decorative chandelier, best described as Italian in style.
