A striking early 20th-century gilt brass and crystal chandelier with beautiful presence and detail. The design follows the classic Empire and Neoclassical basket-style form, with six external lights, a sweeping upper cage, and dense strands of faceted crystal beads forming the two graduated baskets below.
The frame is finished in warm gilt brass with scrolling arms, acanthus flourishes, and rosette motifs throughout. Cut crystal flower rosettes, spear prisms, and shaped drops add movement and sparkle, catching the light beautifully from every angle. The chandelier retains its original decorative candle sleeves and glass bobèches, with lovely age and character to the gilt.
